'Prom for Pennies' events to benefit Providence Ministries

HOLYOKE – Cinderelli’s Consignment Boutique in South Hadley and Mother Mary’s Thrift Store in Holyoke are planning special “Prom for Pennies” events. 

Both stores are fundraising projects of Providence Ministries for the Needy, Inc., here, and sell high-quality second-hand items to support the ministries.

The events will take place on Saturday, March 2 from noon–3 p.m. at Cinderelli’s Consignment Boutique, located at 480 Newton St, South Hadley; and from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Mother Mary’s Thrift Store, located at 364 High St., Holyoke. 

Both events will feature:

* Gently used prom dresses with prices ranging from $10-$50 
* Assistance from staff to choose the perfect dress 
* Makeup demonstration and jewelry from local artists Rosa and Laura Pantoja of Luna Designs Boutique 
*Information about local florists, limo companies, hair salons and more 
*Refreshments 
*Free door prize raffles 
*Moneysaving tips for a fabulous prom
